Didn't Want To Do It.....

  • Mood: pretty good, I guess, considering....
  • Music: None. Jeff's asleep, and I like my music LOUD!!!!
  • Must See TV Tonight? Whatever floats my boat.
  • Can't Wait For: My other income tax check to come in so I can finish remodeling my house!

but I took the tag board off my blog.  Kept getting spam tagged, and I hate that stuff.  I don't visit here as often as I'd like, so ppl had posted so many, that ALL my other, GOOD, tags had been knocked off.....  So, to all the spam taggers out there, you ruin people's good, clean fun!

Anywho, my new job went bust.  The company said that the new doc they were hiring decided not to join them, so they didn't need me or the 2 others they were hiring.  Found this out on my birthday.  Yea.  I am now jobless again, 'cause I'd already worked my notice with the hospital.

Did get to go to Camp Bluebird for this spring!  Didn't get to stay the whole time, though, 'cause I'd already promised my nephew that I'd be at his HS production of GREASE.  He was only a student (background singer/'dancer'), but he loved it!  It was well over a week ago now, and he's still talking about it.  I think I would have been a great actress, but my parents insisted if I was going to go into theatre that I get a 2nd degree so that I could teach.  PULEEZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Me?  As a teacher?  I don't think so.  I was so discouraged I changed majors and now my degree is just as good as having a degree in basketweaving.

Went to Washington DC last week and it was truly great.  Had one time intended to become a history teacher, but the teaching part got to me.  I LOVE history!  I truly enjoyed seeing all of the historic places.  Got some great pics and footage.  DH insists we will be going back sometime soon, 'cause it wasn't a long enough trip to get to see and do everything we wanted.  It was only 2  days of touring.  I did get to sing at the group's opening night session.  It was for youth/music ministers and letting them know about the travel opportunities this group does.

After we got back to Nashville, we spent more time with my family and even visited the Hermitage, the home of former president Andrew Jackson.  I'd been once when I was a kid, but it had been ages.  Jeff enjoyed it, but has no interest in going back any time soon.  Personally, I think he got spoiled.  In DC, there are very few places that charge admissions fees, since the majority of them are federally funded.  At the Hermitage, we had a $12 entry fee, and for what little there was there, Jeff felt it was overpriced.
    I've taught him well!  LOL!

I can't remember if I posted it in my last blog entry, but I WILL be going back to South Africa later this year!  I'm excited about it, but I do fear that it might have an impact on my finding a new job.  Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Now, on to the latest new epi of CSI:Crime Scene Investigation.  I thought it was great!  Nice to get the perspectives of weddings from the 4 single/never been married CSI's.  Greg's was hysterical!  I noticed Nick/George got his hair cut.  I like it, but have to say that I was quite fond of his longer locks.  Seems, though, I was one of VERY FEW!  Oh well, can't please everyone all the time, can ya, George?

So, I think that was all I was going to say today.  Hope everyone has a great May!

Hugs,
April

Best part of the epi... George taking off his shirt...

Sorry about the job. Me and mine are well, just getting out from under the tax season nightmare.
