Hello! Welcome to my online diary! Get ready for take-off! We'll soon be cruising at an altitude of just over 5 feet.
Hope you'll post a tag or write a note
in my guestbook!
I'll be werking (WORK-the other 4-lettered word) for a physical rehabilitation center, assisting with patients. I start in 2 weeks. I'm excited 'cause I get to wear scrubs! ( It's the laziness in me.
I'll only have to figure out which color I'll wear each day.)
Went to visit my family last weekend and had a great time. Got to spend time with my nephews, which was cool. Joshua, the newest, is just a living doll! His colic is better, but not totally gone. Trey, the oldest, will be in his high school's (I STILL can't believe he's in HS! Makes me feel old....) production of GREASE as a background singer/dancer. Not that there'll be much dancing in it. In my hometown, dancing is still looked at much like it was in FOOTLOOSE. Oh well. Scott, the middle nephew, is playing baseball this spring, so I'm excited for him. He's home schooled by his mom, my bil's ex-wife. Bless his heart, he sees no other kids except for his 2 sisters, so baseball will be a great emotional boost for him.
Tennessee had some VERY bad weather last night, closely following the bad system we had this past Sunday. My home county got hit pretty hard, but luckily, no one was killed there. Other places in TN weren't so lucky. Some places had up to baseball sized hail! Golfball sized was the most common, apparently. There had been at least 1 tornado spotted in one of my current counties yesterday. I haven't been watching local news today, so there could have been more.
I'm going to DC in a few weeks for the 1st time. I'm excited, as I love history. When I was in college, my family did a trip there, but I was too into my own thing, so I bailed. I think it's better with a large group, anyway. There's always someone who wants to do what you do.
Next weekend, Easter weekend, or as we call it in my church, Resurrection Weekend, we'll be doing our yearly Passion Play. This year, it's called FOREVER TRIUMPHANT! I have a solo, which is probably the coolest solo in the production. I didn't get to help with the drama this year, as my work schedule hasn't permitted it. That makes me sad, but I did say, after all the crap I got, I said I wasn't gonna do it. Guess I kept my word!
OK, I think that's all I've got for today. Here's wishing you all a fantastic weekend!
Hugs,
April
