Today was Thanksgiving here in the US.  It was also my sister, Michelle's, birthday.  We, as always, had both celebrations at once.  Every year for the last few, we've done a "Things I'm thankful for" thing, but this year, Michelle didn't want to 'cause she's so emotional lately with the baby and all.  Cherie, my baby sister, brought it up.  At the end of the meal, after Michelle opened her birthday presents, we found out why.

Cherie and Chris are expecting!  They are due sometime in July.  She goes back to the doctor for the general ultrasound on December 5th.  This will determine her approximate due date.  This makes all of my sisters Moms but me.  Which is TOTALLY fine!  I do love kids, but I'd rather spoil them and send them home.  It's quite complicated, and it would take me a while to explain all my reasoning, but my husband and I talked about it while we were still dating, and he doesn't want anymore, and I don't want any.

I've had ppl tell me in the past I'll change my mind, and even others who have even told me I'm selfish.  Well, to those things I say, "No, I won't." and "No, I'm not."  I think it's selfish for those people to think everyone HAS to have a child.  God made me special, and part of that specialness is His not giving me the want or urge to have kids.  At least I don't have one that I won't take care of like some ppl I've seen/known.

Anywho, this isn't a gripe post, it's a joyous one!  Cherie has wanted kids for as long as I can remember, so I'm VERY excited for her and Chris.

I went with Michelle to her 2nd follow-up check-up after having the baby.  The doctor wouldn't drive due to her C-section scar until after her visit yesterday.  Her BP is still high, so she's back on her meds for that.  Other than that, he's quite pleased with her healing.  She goes back in 2 more weeks so he can check her scar again.

Joshua has grown quite a bit since I saw him 2 weeks ago!  His cheeks aren't as chubby, so he looks quite a bit different.  He's still a little doll, though, and only gets fussy when he's hungry or being changed.

Don't remember if I've posted since I had an interview this past Monday.  It seemed to go fine, and I hope to hear something during the next few business days about a possible job!  Regardless, I'm not stressing!

That's all for now!  Just wanted to say, "HAPPY THANKSGIVING!" to all my friends and readers out there!

Hugs,
April
