Hello! Welcome to my online diary! Get ready for take-off! We'll soon be cruising at an altitude of just over 5 feet.
Hope you'll post a tag or write a note
in my guestbook!
Just a VERY quick post to let you all know that my sister, Michelle, had her baby, Joshua, yesterday afternoon! He was 3 weeks early (her blood pressure went up really high yesterday, so the doctor wanted to go ahead and take him by C-section, which they were going to have to do anyway because he never turned) but still weighed 7 lbs 12 ozs! Of course, since she had gestational diabetes, it's natural for the baby to be kind of big. I didn't get to hold him last night, but should in less than 2 hours, when I head back to the hospital! He may have a slight breathing problem, but I know, with God's mercy, it will be something minor that he'll grow out of in no time!
OK, I'm gonna head off here so I can start getting ready to go back to the hospital.
There was another newborn in last night, a little girl. Don't know her name, but she was bleeding internally. Daddy said that it had stopped before he left at 1:30 this morning, but that they were sending her to another hospital, one in Nashville, to see if they could find out what was happening. For those that will, pray that everything turns out OK for that little one (under 6 lbs).
Hugs, y'all!
April
